Robin Abad Ocubillo holds a Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of Southern California and a B.A. in Industrial Design with a minor in Urban Studies from San Francisco State University. He also studied for one year at the School of Design and Systems Engineering at Brunel University, London. Prior to graduate school, he served for three years as a Project Manager at the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy in San Francisco. His graduate research focused on the production of small open spaces in urbanized regions; culminating in a masters thesis titled Experimenting with the Margin: Parklets and Plazas as Catalysts in Community and Government. He is also involved with the creation of and applied research on Parklets and Pedestrian Plazas in Los Angeles.
