Reconstructing the Frameyard
Based on field measurements and construction drawings for a pit house constructed behind the greenhouse in the service court, I created a rough model of what the pit house might have looked like. The ultimate goal is to model the entire frameyard and make them viewable in Google Earth.
This recent aerial shows the rendered models of the pit house and adjacent cold frames in their approximate original location.
This axonometric view of the pit house has one side of the frames and sashes removed to reveal the interior tile and slate benches and interior structural support pipes
This rough terrain model shows the approximate location of the grade around the pit house's walls.
