Monumentality in Microcosm
| Community Managed Public Spaces |
Many triangle parks are directly adjacent to private property (see the Pages on End-Points and Circle-Adjacent Triangles). In many cases, the adjoining private property owners are actively involved with informal programming and maintenance of triangle parks. Other more formal arrangements also exist to facilitate local stewardship and investment. For example, community organizations can enter into a Park Partner Agreement with with the D.C Department of Parks & Recreation. The S Street Dog Park (New Hampshire Avenue and 17th Street, NW) is managed through a Park Partner Agreement especially created for Dog Parks.
