Monumentality in Microcosm

Many triangular reservations that existed in the early 20th century disappeared during large urban redevelopment projects in succeeding decades.  For example, Reservation 203 was once a typical triangle park embedded in a low-density residential neighborhood.  However in the 19__s, the construction of the United States Supreme Courthouse completely reconfigured the surrounding urban fabric.  The former site of Reservation 203 are now part of the large plaza fronting the Supreme Courthouse.
