A female ensemble of two musicians and one dancer in Kağıthane, [1937].

The ensemble, possibly Romani, performs in front of the Imrahor Fountain (İmrahor Çeşmesi). They were most likely there to play for Istanbul residents out for a relaxing outing in the countryside of Kağıthane, a Kağıthane that no longer exists as a result of Istanbul’s urban growth in the twentieth century.
